Grain Marketing Newsletter vs a Grain Marketing Advisor

A newsletter gives you the signal. An advisor builds the plan with you. Klarenbach offers both: short, chart-based reports and 1-on-1 Portfolio Consulting. Either way, you still sell the grain.

Who this is for

Self-directed farmers and traders in Saskatchewan, Alberta, and the US Midwest who want a clear signal more than a full plan. New to grain marketing? Start with Grain Marketing 101.

What a newsletter is here

The Klarenbach Grain Report and the Klarenbach Special Crops Report are short, crop-specific emails. Each gives a chart-based read, a price target, and a sell signal. Neither places the contract for you. The Grain Report covers wheat, canola, barley, oats, corn, soybeans, and flax. The Special Crops Report covers peas, lentils, chickpeas, canaryseed, and mustard.

What consulting adds

Portfolio Consulting is the 1-on-1 step: a marketing plan built around your farm's costs, risk tolerance, and goals, with support through the season. It is priced by consultation. And if you want neither a report nor a call, marketing the grain yourself is a real option.

What it costs

Each report is $157.50 a month or $1,575 a year (two months free), CAD plus applicable sales tax. Both reports together are $2,625 a year. Every subscription starts with a free 30-day trial; cancel before it ends if the report isn't a fit. There are no refunds after the trial, and returns are not guaranteed.

Questions

Is the newsletter the advisor?

For most readers, the newsletter is the product. Consulting is the step up when you want a plan built around your own operation.

How is this different from a broker?

A broker can execute a trade. These reports do not. Read the broker comparison for the longer version.
